I guess thesis writing really takes the life out of you.
I haven't trained regularly since the new deadline was imposed upon me, and I really have to have it done before this semester ends.
In a way, thesis writing is like running...cycling..or maybe even swimming.
First, a lot of preparation goes into it. "You only get back what you put in," a popular running quote, seems to fit well with writing.
Second, the long hours spent reading, typing, or trying to understand the statistical data tires me out in the same way a 5 or 10k run will (well, not the legs at least).
And third, I get another reason for stocking my dorm locker with those sports drinks. They make good emergency fuel when I miss meals while chasing statistician for assistance, or when all the typing just won't give you enough time to head out to the cafeteria to grab a bite.
I dunno, there must be more. But this is all that the little portion of the brain not processing the betas, variances and coefficients can come up with.
Anyway, will be running the Cordura on the 22nd of March. Hooray.
Still deciding whether to run the 3k or the 5k. =D
