As if deciding whether to buy new photographic or mountaineering equipment isn't excruciating enough, I am plagued with a million more decisions to make about the purchase.
The mother of all questions: Better pictures during mountaineering trips or more comfortable living during those trips?
Well, going for the lens would be the least distressing option, since I would only have one option that would fit my budget: the Nikon 50mm f1.8.
But if I choose the tent, I would have to make a decision between tadpole or tunnel types. Then, the model: Columbia or Coleman for tunnel-types, and Apexus, Conquer, Sideout, Jetstream for tadpole types. Still another decision to make is the number of doors it would have! Oh, did I mention the main color? Hot pink, yellow, black, orange, red, or blue.
And the cookset.
Anodized aluminum or titanium? Solo, 2-3 person-, or 5-6 person-capacity? And how about the Diameter and Volume of each saucepan and frying pan?
Okay, maybe the diameter and volume is exaggerated, but still..even if I cross them out, I guess would have to look forward to a couple hours in deep thought; walking around or with that thousand yard stare.
